We had such an amazing time at Avocato Cat Cafe! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, relaxing, and just so much fun. The cats were absolutely adorable, and it was so nice getting to spend time with all of their different personalities. Some were playful and curious, while others were perfectly content just relaxing nearby and letting you enjoy their company. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up so that both the guests and the cats could enjoy themselves. You can really tell that the cats are cared for and loved. The staff was also incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. This was such a fun and unique outing, and we left with huge smiles on our faces. If you love cats or are just looking for something different and relaxing to do, I definitely recommend visiting Avocato Cat Cafe. We had a wonderful experience and will absolutely be back! Five stars all around! 🐱⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is wonderful! Their kitten rooms, pricing, and the kindness of the employees makes this place rank far above any other cat cafe in Michigan!

I first contacted PAAW about potentially adopting a pair of bonded tabby cats, and the adoption process was very thorough and stressless. They do want to make sure their kitties are going to a stable forever home, which I appreciate. Once we made it in to Avocato Catfe to meet the cats I thought I wanted, I actually fell in love with a different sweet kitty who literally chose me, following me around and demanding pats and play time. We discovered she also came as a packaged deal with her bonded brother, who was a very shy boy. He was hiding in his cat house and under the couch for our entire visit, but we were thankful that Avocato provided us with their original foster’s notes, where we learned that the shy boy was also very loving and friendly, and warms up once you get to know him. So that won us over, and we decided to adopt them both. We could not be happier! They are the best cats I ever could’ve asked for; they are so sweet, friendly, silly, and playful. They bring so much joy and laughter to our home. Our shy boy took a couple months to fully open up and feel comfortable (he hid in the basement for the first week 😅), but now he meows for long petting sessions, plays so si

We adopted our 2 new kittens from here right before Christmas and had a great experience. They are very thorough in their adoption process. They were kind enough to transport our kitten and get her fixed as she was too small to be fixed prior to adoption. The cats here are well taken care of.

I have visited a few cat cafes in southeast Michigan and this is my favorite so far. The set up is more conducive to getting to know the cats with multiple rooms rather than a huge room, especially if you’re there to potentially adopt. The ‘cafe’ itself is a self-serve coffee pod type thing. It’s clean and lovely, just don’t expect a barista making custom drink orders or a bakery style selection of food. There were some individual size bags of chips if you want a snack. I read several reviews here about poor experiences with the adoption side of the business (Avocato is owned and run by PAAW, to correct some other reviews that suggested they are different groups). I ended up adopting a bonded pair of older kittens and the process was overall OK for me but did also experience a few hiccups, such as forgetting to complete parts of their paperwork and asking me to send copies back for their records. If you are planning to adopt, I think it’s worth a try with PAAW. It may be helpful to keep in mind that they are volunteer run so there may be a lot of turn over and variety of strengths/skills each volunteer brings to the organization.
